IDEA Mutual Assistance for District Energy (MADE)
Second Annual Table-Top Exercise Webinar—2014
Emergency Preparedness Training - Focus on Flooding
Wednesday, November 5, 2014
Has your district energy system been affected by flooding? Do you have an emergency response plan for the next severe weather event that inundates your city or campus? Please plan on joining your IDEA colleagues for this special webinar on emergency preparedness with special focus on severe flooding.
The presenters, Rich Boscarino and Chris Lieberman of Con Edison Emergency Management and Pat Davin of Veolia, N.A., will walk participants through a simulated emergency scenario, which will include active roles played by members of the IDEA Mutual Assistance for District Energy (MADE) network. The event was held as a 2-hour interactive training webinar.

IDEA developed the Mutual Assistance for District Energy (MADE) program to provide a voluntary network and system for sharing trained personnel resources and emergency equipment among IDEA Member Organizations in the event of disasters.
MADE procedures include holding an annual Table Top Exercise (TTX), which realistically simulates an actual emergency scenario affecting a district energy system.
IDEA encourages all IDEA Utility and Campus Energy members to join the MADE Program. There is no cost to IDEA members to join the MADE network.
